Enhancing lives and building futures for the children in the Jordan Heights
Community through education, caring leadership, and community involvement.
With grants, fundraising, and corporate/individual giving last year, The Neighborhood Center continued to serve over 150 youth ages 4-18 with programming including a Pre-K, Early Learners 3 1/2 - 4 - Year- old Program, Elementary and Teens Programs, and summer programming. The guiding principles of all its youth programming are to: provide a safe haven, promote positive life choices, and promote and strengthen community relationships.

The Neighborhood Center operates with an employed staff of seven - an Executive Director, two (2) Elementary Program Coordinators, a Pre-K, Early Learners 3 1/2 4-Old-Year Teacher and two (2) assistants, a Teens Coordinator, and an assistant - and a host of committed volunteers. Volunteers come from area colleges, local church and civic groups, and Lehigh Valley businesses and corporations; in addition, concerned parents and community members also volunteer.
ABOUT US
All staff and volunteers are required to complete a child protection/abuse form and complete a criminal record check. Since all programs and activities are provided with the help of volunteers, The Neighborhood Center wants to ensure the safety of its children.
